Case Study: Estate Agents
Few industries depend on word of mouth recommendations more than estate agents. The process of moving house is so stressful, and the potential pitfalls so widely known that selecting the right agency is crucial. Most movers canvas opinions from friends, family, and neighbours for their experiences before selecting an agent.
Doughdough’s client is a small local agency that concluded the best way to build a positive reputation was to make sure every phase of the process ended positively. Working with doughdough they developed a two phase program:
After the mover engaged the agent to sell their property they received a small edible gift in gratitude for being selected , and a card containing all relevant contact details.
Once the sale of the property had been completed both buyer and seller received a bespoke agency branded “home mover tin” containing useful items such as sugar, tea, coffee, jam, and biscuits. Sometimes this is personally delivered by the agent on the moving day. Alternatively delivery is arranged by doughdough. Either way feedback is consistently positive and ensures that both parties’ enduring memory of the Estate Agent is warm and friendly. |
